Another Year Over

The last day of 2010 and the last day of Dressember which has been so much fun and quite eye opening. I really don't need to throw on my skinny jeans and tee combo everyday leaving dresses just for "special" occasions, with the amount of dresses I actually own (I still can't believe it's fifty seven!) and the variety there is to choose from I should be wearing them more often.

Today I've worn this dress to run a few errands and generally slob around the house in....

Dress: American Apparel
Cardigan: Can't remember
Tights: Boots

....and then I am wearing this variation for the evenings festivities...

Dress:  American Apparel
Shirt: All Saints
Tights: Boots
Boots: Pied a Terre

All in all I would highly recommend taking up the Dressember challenge next year or any month (this would be fun to do in Summer I think) really. Here are all my outfits from this month....

I hope whatever you are doing tonight is fun and you don't have too sore a head tomorrow, Happy New Year everyone!!

Lots of Love

Borrowed

I'm always a little surprised that anyone outside my immediate family and circle of friends reads this blog and I've been very surprised to find out about some of the people who do actually read it (ex's and all sorts)! I started this blog as a way to try and shake me out of my jeans and tee rut, my thinking being that if I was photographing what I was wearing everyday then I would make more of an effort to wear more of my, frankly, huge wardrobe. I never realised about the blogging community and I have been so pleasently surprised by the people I've "met" and the fabulous blogs I've come across, it's made the experience all the more enjoyable and I'm so glad I decided to start Kittenish Behaviour!

I only have a couple of days left of Dressember which is quite sad but I will definitely be making an effort to wear dresses more often after this project. Here is todays dress...

Dress: All Saints
Jumper: Topshop
Belt: Warehouse
Leggings: American Apparel
Boots: Carvela

As I said yesterday I have more party/fancy dresses than I do "normal" ones and so today I am wearing something that I've borrowed from V.

My Dad flys out to Abu Dhabi today to spend a week with my Mum to celebrate a belated Christmas and then see in the New Year. I'm so glad they get to spend some time together because Mum is really missing him, and all of us I guess. Love you Mum!

Lots of Love to you all too!

First Outting

So Dressember is coming to an end and I've discovered that I have more party dresses than I do "normal" everyday dresses. Thankfully it's the time of year when wearing party dresses is a must so I'm not struggling too much but these last few days will be interesting, expect lots of fancy outfits! Today I've decided to wear this as I don't have to leave the house....

(Both these picture were taken without the flash on, I have no idea why the light level is so different in them!)

Dress: Kasike
Cardigan: All Saints
Leggings: Miss Selfridge
Boots: Shelleys
Necklace: Tatty Devine

This is the first outting for this dress and I love it, shall be wearing it more often for sure but when the weather gets warmer me thinks! I always start longing for Spring at about this time of year, with all the excitement of Christmas being over I now want a change and some warmer weather would be great.

The clothes fairies have been playing around in my room again, need to get control of this situation! There is so much floor space in my room, it's fairly impressive that I can manage to cover most of it with clothes. Mind you I do have a huge amount of clothes so I guess it isn't that impressive....

I still haven't decided what to for New Years Eve as yet, there are a few options but I have no idea which one to take. I've spent the last couple either at home with friends or at a house party which has been brilliant so I'm tempted to do the same again this year. What are your NYE plans?

Lots of Love

Downloading.......please wait

So my plans for a night of World of Warcraft were slightly scuppered by the actual downloading of the latest upgrade which didn't finish until this morning! This wasn't the worst thing in the world though as I was falling asleep at 11pm!! I think it was all those hours in the car.

Today I decided to wear this dress...

I took lots of pictures of my outfit today but I didn't like any of them so I have used the pictures I took when I wore this outfit before, the only difference is that I've added socks as you can see in this picture....

 Dress: Jane Norman
Cardigan: Can't remember!
Belt: Jocasi
Tights: Dorothy Perkins
Socks: American Apparel
Boots: Faith
Coat: All Saints
Hat, Scarf & Gloves: BHS

You can probably tell that I love my Christmas present that is the hat, scarf and glove set from The Missus's 'rents. I've been after a slouchy hat like this for ages and this is one of my favourite colours. Any of your presents you are particularly loving?

Lots of Love

Driving Miss Crazy

Today has been a very long day. Dad and I started at 10am driving to visit my Nana in Felixstowe the stupid satnav instead of taking us the most direct route from Derby decided to take us down to the M25 and then over to the A12, damn thing added about two hours onto our journey time. I decided to persuade Dad to stay with me in London tonight and then carry on back to The Island tomorrow, a good break for him and this also meant that I didn't have to get on a tube home either! In total I think Dad was driving eight hours today so the overnight break seems sensible.

I wore this dress to travel home/sit in the car....

Dress: Vintage via eBay
Crinoline: Vintage via eBay
Cardigan: Oasis
Belt: Jocasi
Tights: Dorothy Perkins
Boots: Faith

Any excuse to wear a crinoline!

It's nice to be home and there was this surprise.....

....waiting for me when I got back, Senhor B. had seen it and got it for my Christmas pressie which was so lovely of him! Slighty worried that a bald old man in a funny suit makes him think of me but it really is the perfect present for an Uber Geek.

I've had a lovely Christmas break, I've received some lovely presents, eaten some gorgeous food and spent time with some of my wonderful family. I'm currently waiting for this one.....

....of my Christmas presents to download so I can play it this evening!

What are your plans for the rest of the week? Are you looking forward to New Years Eve this year? I still have no idea what I'm going to do but I think I prefer it this way, it can be such a let down of an evening so not planning anything means what ever I do end up doing is a fab surprise.

Lots of Love

A Minks Tale

Surprisingly I have woken up today with no hangover to speak of, this is fabulous although I did wake up at 8am which was not so fabulous! Today has been very chilled so far we had a lovely cooked brunch and then have sat around in a kind of Boxing Day stupor, bliss.

Today's dress is this...

Another action shot thanks to Lil Bother
Dress: Warehouse via eBay
Slip: Traffic People
Cardigan: All Saints
Scarf & Hat: BHS (Christmas pressies)
Tights: Boots (two pairs!)
Shoes: Kurt Geiger
Coat: Vintage

I'm liking having a photographer available, it makes life much easier and I don't feel such a twit when I smile. I've said it before but I'll say it again ..... I love this coat, it really is the warmest thing I own and I should wear it more often.

The Missus and I are going to pick up her Sproglets this evening to bring them back for Christmas round two! More present opening and gaming hilarity (plus I've been told oldest Sproglet is bringing his laptop so I can have a look at Cataclysm, YAY!)

I'll leave you with this picture from last night of my Lil Bother "playing" with the dog....

Happy Boxing Day everyone!

Lots of Love

Cherry Mistmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa has been kind to you? I had already had a lot of my pressies before Christmas (my desk, my 32" LCD TV, my shoes, my blazer) but I got some lovely things including this hat....

Action shot! Running back to the warmth!

Dress: Trashy Diva
Cardigan: Oasis
Belt: Topshop
Crinoline: Vintage via eBay
Shoes: Red or Dead
Necklace: Bangles & Tat
Hat: BHS

I know "red and green should never be seen" but I love this look, I've also finally found a red lipstick I like so, as you've probably noticed, I've been wearing it non stop. My necklace was my present from Lil Bother and The Missus, anyone would think they know I like green... It was nice to have a photographer today but blimey it's cold outside, I managed not to fall ass over tit in the snow which I think is fairly impressive in five inch heels!

Today so far we have had the most amazing cooked breakfast, The Missus made Nigella's Christmas Muffins and then we opened the pressies! We've played Spinergy which is hilarious, more so with the more you drink, Yatzhee and we have Crazy 8's (card game) and Cranium to look forward to.

Dinner was amazing....

...and the crackers went down really well....

....and the dog is knackered....

......all in all an amazing day and it's only 8pm!

I hope you are all having a fab day wherever you are and whoever you are with.

Lots of Love

Fashion Faux Pas?

I was a little like the proverbial gooseberry last night with all the couples (V's Rockstar Boyf managed to get home from his tour of Europe) but fun was had all the same and I got some lovely presents. I made people try my homemade treats infront of me to see the reactions and either they are really good actors or I make good candy! The Southampton Arms  do the most amazing roast pork baps, if you happen to be in Kentish Town NW5 I highly recommend them!

I'm so excited! I get to see my Dad, my Little Bother, his Missus and her folks today the downside is that my niece and nephews (!) won't be there, oh and I have to be up super early (6am!) which my body always seem to object to. The bright side of the early start is getting to read my book on the hour long tube journey I have to take to meet my Dad in Rickmansworth and the niece and nephews will be back before I leave for London. There is always a silver lining if you look.

Today I am wearing this dress which is fast becoming one of my favourites....

Dress: Miss Selfridge
Jumper: Miss Selfridge
Tights: Dorothy Perkins
Boots: Faith

Now I know He does not approve of white tights but these are cream and teamed with the short dress, knee high boots and hint of cleavage I think they look foxy, this would have been my outfit for my date with The Architect if he hadn't contracted the flu. What do you think, cream tights; yes/no? If you haven't come across Fashion By He you should head on over and check it out, it's laugh out loud (LOL, if you will) funny and always puts a smile on my face.

I have also decide to wear this coat...

.....which is vintage, I got it from The Antique & Vintage Dress Gallery which is a website that I love trawling through. It is a real mink collar but it is also about sixty years old, I don't buy or agree with new fur clothing but vintage is a different thing to me. What are your thoughts?

Enjoy your Christmas Eve celebrations whatever you are up to, I'm sure mine will involve a large Baileys, some silly board games and lots of food, I also hope Santa is kind to you all!

Lots of Love

(I took these photos at about 2am but this is what I am wearing today I just knew if I left it till later it might never get done!)

Bonding Session

You may or may not have noticed but I'm ever so slightly obsessed with belts. I own about thirty of them in a host of different colours and styles most of which I have worn but some are still languishing in my wardrobe waiting for their first outting. I think I like belts so much because I am lucky enough to have a relatively small waist in comparison to my hips and I like to accentuate this by pulling anything I'm wearing in with a belt. I love the floaty look and there are so many clothes and outfits out there that I would love to wear but I don't think things suit me unless I'm pulled in at the middle! Alas I don't have the amazingly long pins of Fashion Hedonism or Style of a Fashionista or Burn The Blonde that look so fantastic poking out the bottom of one of their gorgeous floaty numbers or the shorts they all rock so well.

Today will involve some last mintue gathering of gifts, some packing (eep hate packing, can someone please invent a device that allows you to shrink your whole wardrobe into carry on size so you can take everything with you when you travel? That or can someone please tell me that magic is real and Harry Potter is actually a documentary and the bottomless bag Hermione has in the latest film is buyable in London?) then V and I are heading out for Christmas drinks with the B.G's and J & C tonight which I am very much looking forward to. It's a year ago today that V met this crowd and we have Top Gear Guy to thank for introducing us to such fabulous peeps! Last year it was The Phoenix pub there was Fruli beer (for me at least) and a bonding session over last years Robert Pattinson Annual which was Top Gear Guys Christmas present (R-Patz was his hair idol). I'm so tempted to buy the 2011 annual for more bonding hilarity this year, for example there was a quiz where you could decide how your first date with R-Patz would go, if you'd kiss, what would he wear etc. Hmmmm maybe!

Tonight I am wearing this dress for our Christmas gathering...

Dress: Wheels & Dollbaby
Belt: Warehouse
Cardigan: All Saints
Tights: Boots (I'm wearing two pairs)
Boots: Carvela

I was going off to work after these few drinks but Dad has annouced that he is getting the 4am ferry from the Isle of Wight and will be in Rickmansworth at about 8am which means I have to leave home at 7am in order to meet him on his drive up to Derby!! At least when I get there it's CHRISTMAS w00t! I may be a little over excited now...I hope you are too?

Go Fish & #teamkristy

Firstly let me tell you about the amazing Kristy of Full Time Fabulous (The Sunglasses Hut blog competition) and Vogue Gone Rouge fame; she is lovely, a brilliant blogger, photographer, videographer and an all round good egg! I first came across Kristy's VGR blog when she commented on one of my posts that we shared a love of Anne McCaffrey books, I headed over to check out this obviously well read persons blog and fell in love! Kristy's posts are always well written, informative, super stylish and she is one of the loveliest people I've "met" in the blogging world. Kristy totally deserves to win this competition so head on over to her Full Time Fabulous blog and rate five stars #teamkristy FTW (for the win)!

Now on to my day.....

HA!! I'm in this weeks OK! magazine, remember me posting  pictures of myself in the lovely white lycra outfit at the OK! Christmas Party, well the pictures made it in to the magazine...

I'm loving Dressember it's been so much fun wearing a different dress everyday and I'm still not missing my jeans, so much so that I've leant them to Tatty who has taken them back to Ipswich with her! Todays effort is this little number...

Dress: eBay
Cardigan: Can't remember
Belt: Jocasi
Tights: Dorothy Perkins
Socks: American Apparel
Boots: Faith

My fabulous Dad called me last night to tell me that my Nana had sent me £50 for Christmas and that I should buy all the flatmates some bubbly from Him and Mum to say thank you for all the times they've stayed with us this year! As we had our Christmas dinner this past Sunday and as a flat we were all putting the money in for the ingredients I suggested I use the money from Dad for that instead. Everyone thought this was lovely and Mum and Dad are now allowed to stay whenever they like!

I promptly spent my Christmas money from Nana on this...

....which was £23 (!) from Rokit , I've wanted a black blazer for ages and fell in love with this one when I saw it, fingers crossed it fits! I also got some clog type heels from Office which I've had my eye forever and the were reduced from £85 to £30, I shall post pics when they arrive.

So I wasn't sure if I should post this dating disaster story but I've reread it and thought why not so I hope you are sitting comfortably because it's a long one (well it's more of a relationship disaster so there is more to tell!).....

So today I thought I would tell you the tale of Fish (thats Fish short for Selfish, another Tatty applied nickname).....Fish started emailing me on Match.com and he was charming and very witty in his emails with a great smile in his profile picture, I had a closer look only to discover that he was 5ft11" tall which is shorter than I would usually go for. My friends however had been telling me not to be so fussy so I decided to email back and we started chatting. Chatting lead to arranging to meet up for a "coffee" on Saturday afternoon (I say "coffee" like that because I don't drink caffiene but "coffee" is the acceptable term for an afternoon date these days).

During this time I was sofa surfing at Swedish Bo's place because I was moving out of my old flat and the new one wasn't quite ready for me to move into yet. Fish and I had made arrangements to meet up on the following Saturday which also happened to be Halloween. Fish had mentioned that he tickets to The Bloodlust Ball for that evening but I was determined to work as I was in London (Swedish Bo lives in Brighton).

I had a meeting with my new flatmates which went really well (they were boys and I had brought the stunning Swedish Bo with me to dazzle them with.....it worked I was approved to move in) and I headed of to meet Fish feeling very happy with the world. I turned up to London Bridge, we were going to Borough Markets for our date, and no sign of Fish so I called, he said he was running late and would be twenty minutes!! Fish finally turned up (I found out later he actually lived a ten minute walk from the tube station and had decided to leave his house when I called to say I was there.....hmmmm) and he was just as good looking as his pictures and seemed happy to see me, the height things was OK(ish) because I didn't have my biggest heels on so we were eye to eye that day.

Off we went for our "coffee" and the conversation was flowing very easily. As I've said before I always make sure that potential dates know what I do for a living because I never wanted to have a "ta da surprise" moment during a first date or later on in a relationship for that matter. Fish said he was fine with it and infact had dated a glamour model before so I talked a little about what I did then moved the conversation on thinking that at least that wouldn't be an issue.

Fish and I had a right laugh that afternoon, we got on so well, it was like we had known each other for ages. Fish had to pick up a few pieces for his costume for the ball that night and asked if I wanted to join him, I was having such a good time that I thought why not and eventually let him persuade me to go to the ball with him too so it turned into full on costume shopping for me! I was staying at a friends place in London so I hot footed it back there with my purchases to get all dolled up for the evenings festivities.

Fish had chosen to go as The Crow and as I had had about four hours notice I went as a cat (easiest costume to pull together at the last minute) I looked slightly strange on the tube but felt a lot better when I got to the venue and Fish was there waiting for me with full face paint on! The Bloodlust Ball is/was amazing, I highly recommed it for next years Halloween party if you are looking for something to do in London.

It was getting quite late and I needed to get back to Fulham when Fish piped up with "you can stay at mine! I have other friends staying and I'll sleep on the sofa" I made him promise to drive me to Fulham the next day so I didn't have to do the "walk of shame" in my cat outfit and off we headed. Fish was a perfect gentleman (there was no way I was kissing him with the amount of white face paint he had on!) and did indeed drive me to my friends place in Fulham and then on to work the next morning. Fish asked if he could pick me up from work when I had finished the promo and cook me dinner that evening. All in all it ended up being a pretty great first date/weekend.

During that Sunday evening Fish did say something along the lines of "why don''t you move in with me, it would save you the hassel with the new place" which shocked me and I think my reply was "you don't have enough room for my stuff! Ha ha ha.......". Now I have been guilty of jumping into relationships both feet first, in at the deep end with my eyes shut before and this has back fired (go figure!) so I was trying to take things a little more slowly this time (HA, right! I hear you cry after the description of our first date/weekend together!) I had been single for a whole year to the day which was a record for me and I did want a relationship but I thought moving in together off the back of one great weekend was a little extreme!

The next day I went back to Brighton and Fish was texting and calling me loads which I love (I do like a lot of attention of that kind when I'm with someone) he wanted to know when he could see me again and we arranged to meet up that Thursday. A few different things happened and we ended up seeing each other on the Tuesday instead, Fish then made the suggestion that I move into his place until my new flat was ready as I worked in London and it would make my life easier. I said "yes" and "thank you" because he was right it would make my life easier plus the sofa I was sleeping on wasn't the most comfy thing in the world. Everything was lovely and I finally got to move in to my new place about ten days later  which was amazing, Fish came over to help me put a few things together (my bed mainly, heaviest thing in the world!) and cook everyone dinner. I was generally a very happy bunny thinking I had a lovely new home and a fab new fella who was kind and considerate.

A few weeks later Fish, for some reason, decided to Google my name and saw some of the Glamour work I had done and this really upset him! Fish knew from day one what I did and I'm not ashamed of these pictures, some are really rather nice, even if I do say so myself! I do now use a different name so that potential employers (I'm currently looking for "normal" jobs) don't stumble across these images if they do decide to Google me but that is because I am looking for work in the IT world and not the modelling world so I think this is fair enough and the name I use now is the one on my passport! However I digress......Fish was upset and decided to break up with me via a text to tell me that he emailed me whilst I was out doing promotions! Classy.

I read and replied to the email which I thought was called for and we talked for a little that way but after some of the things said in his last response I decided to draw a line under it and leave it there rather than descend to bitching and "well you said" comments.

A few days after this Fish asked if I would still attend his friends wedding with him as he had already sent them my name and name plates had been made blah blah blah. Now bare in mind I had been single for a year and up until the emails Fish had been so lovely to be with, I agreed to go to the wedding with him and not too surprisingly I guess we ended up getting back together. Fish magnanimously said that he would put my past in the past and forget about it, bless him.

We carried on seeing each other a couple of times a week and I always stayed at his place (it was a very nice place), he'd given me a set of keys so I could let myself out when I needed to which meant I didn't have to get up at stupid o'clock with him when he left for work. I was having a great time and thought that Fish really cared about me from the way he was acting and the things he was saying.

It got to the Christmas period and Fish annouced that he was going to Cape Town for a week over the holidays but I was welcome to stay at his place with Tatty if we wished. I took him up on the offer as he had a working fire place and a much better kitchen than my new place, Tatty and I had a lovely time. Fish called on New Years Eve, he was a little drunk but said he was in love with me and couldn't wait to see me again! Ooooooo Mmmmmmm Geeeeee as you can imagine I was over the moon.

Fish's flight was delayed on his journey home so after I had been to his place to stock up his fridge with goodies and leave flowers to pretty up the place I headed down to Heathrow to bring him his suit so he could head straight to work and not be too late, wasn't I a good girlfriend!?! I went to his place that evening to have dinner with him and he annouced that he was moving to Cape Town! I love Cape Town this seemed a little extreme however but I sat and listened and tried to be supportive without saying "but what about meeeeee?!".

Fish had another trip planned to Cape Town at the end of January for the races and parties that go along with them, I wasn't invited, I didn't think too much of it at the time. Off went Fish and he called and texted me every day up until race day when I got a call in the morning and then nothing. I thought that maybe his phone battery had gone or he'd left it behind until I noticed on Facebook that he has defriended me!

Now Fish had done this because he though his profile was private and he hadn't wanted me to see the pictures of him kissing another girl that he'd been tagged in, he'd wanted to tell me in person (defriending me on FB wasn't suspicious at all....)!!! Fish's profile however was not private so I did see these pictures, this was after I'd been to his house in the horrid snow to drop off another load of goodies so he wouldn't come home to an empty fridge again (he'd mentioned last time that Playboy would be a more appropriate present for a fella than flowers so I had taken him a copy of that too)! Hurt is not the word but I'm a big girl so I had a bit of a cry and then chalked it up to experience.

Fish called me when he got home saying he wanted to see me that evening as he had something we needed to talk about! I told him to tell me over the phone and he spent an hour telling me about this girl he'd wanted for over a year but she'd been with someone and then he bumped into her at races and they'd had this amazing connection but had only talked! I mentioned the pictures and he tried to worm his way out by saying they'd been caught during " a peck on the lips" ...really?!?! All ten of them?

Anyways Fish wanted to stay friends "I'm a good person to be friends with, I have connections" to which I said sure but I'd want some space to get the distance I'd need to be his friend (I have no idea what I wanted to keep this man in my life!). Fish agrees but then start the text messages! Everyday he would text to see if I was ok, if I wanted to talk etc. This would have been great if he had been a friend and not the guy I was trying to get over! I ignored most of them but one day I was taken ill and ended up in A&E Fish happened to text me asking if I was ok to which I replied "not really I'm in A&E" STUPID! Should not have replied but at the time I just wanted someone to come and look after me, my Mum and Dad were in Saudi so a little far away for the job.

Fish ended up hot footing it to the hospital to look after me (nothing too serious was wrong) and insisted I come home with him so he could look after me properly! I asked "wouldn't the new girlfriend mind?" he replied "She decided she didn't want to be with me on Valentines Day" only a week after she'd arrived in London awwwwwww. I let him look after me and after two days of bed rest Fish starts hitting on me again! I'm ashamed to say I still had feelings for him and I was also feeling vulnerable so we kissed and things went back to how they had been before except that he was now definitely moving to Cape Town.

After a few more days of this I kind of came to my senses and just said enough is enough. Again he wanted to stay friends and again I said maybe, after some time and AGAIN he ignored this and texted, emailed and asked for favours for his friends! I ended up sending him a very angry email asking "what part of leave me alone and give me some space is difficult for you to understand?!?!?" his reply was along the lines of "wish granted! You will never hear from me again. Have a nice life"!!

Fish stuck to this and I haven't ever heard from him since but I did find out some stuff......he asked most of the girls he dates to move in with him within a very short space of time, he's obssessed with the way his girlfriends look (he had suggested to me that I loose a few pounds "then you'll be stunning" I was tiny at the time) and he had cheated before!

If Fish taught me anything it's do not jump in both feet first with someone you hardly know, no matter what they are saying. It takes time to build up those kind of connections and a relationship that seems too easy that early on generally is, trust your gut it's shouting at you for a reason! This was a couple of years ago and I do look back and laugh now (you kinda have to) but I have definitely learnt this lesson!

Lots of Love

Clothes Bomb or Clothes Fairies?

I'm settling down to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas (I blame not flatmate L for this) and eat some mince pies before I head off to run my errands, obviously I need to be comfy for this activity so I'm wearing this....

Dress: All Saints
Belt: Jocasi
Cardigan: Oasis
Tights: Dorothy Perkins
Boots: Faith
Coat: Topshop
Gloves: Accessorize
Scarf: Debenhams

I love this dress, it's so pretty and makes me smile every time I put it on.

Grrrr Argh! Yet again my room looks like a clothes bomb has exploded! I'm a fairly tidy person so I do usually put things away after myself, how on earth does it get like this? I think the clothes fairies come round and play dress up while I'm asleep! Speaking of clothes fairies has anyone else come across The House of Ellwand's work?

It's the most beautiful book and the clothes are gorgeous and totally what the clothes fairies that play in my room at night are wearing, of course they are this stylish!

Anyway.....cleaning up the clothes bomb explosion debris is one job for me to do today, another one is pick up some pretty bags to put my edible presents in and then the third is to buy two external hard drives to load up with TV shows for my Mum over in Saudi. All in all a fairly chilled out day.

V and I watched Gremlins last night which is one of those obligatory Christmas movies that is always on around this time of year. This movie is a somewhat distressing sick family snuff movie for V though, let me explain.....V's nickname for ages has been Mogwai and during the doppleganger week on Facebook her profile picture was....

....which is so cute! Whilst watching Gremlins during the scene where Billy's Mum liquidises one of the evil Gremlins V pipes up with "don't kill my cousin", I love it!

I'm starting to plan what to pack for the few days I'm away from my wardrobe, it's been quite hard to resist wearing some of my favourite dresses so far this month. I know what I want to wear on Christmas Day (Trashy Diva number with crinoline) it's the other days I'm having issues with but I only have to plan for three/four other days so it shouldn't be too hard, right? We shall see....

How are your Christmas plans going, any travelling involved or are people coming to you this year?

Fingers Crossed

I am very excited about this week, I have lots to do and then it's Christmas which means I get to see some of my family. My poor Mum is in Saudi Arabia and will be working on Christmas Day so we shall be spending some time with her on Skype when she finally gets home from the office. Little Bother and his fabulous Missus have let Dad and I join them at the Missus' rents for Christmas Day so Dad is swinging by Rickmansworth (that'll be a fun hour long tube journey ..... thankfully I have my new book!) to pick me up on his drive from the Isle of Wight to Derby. I hope all the snow has buggered off by then because I want an easy drive up there, it can snow all it likes on Christmas Day itself!

Last nights Christmas dinner at 116 was lovely, we had roastie lamb, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, homemade gravy, sooooooo much veg, roast butternut squash and honey roast parsnips and carrots....

....the parsnips were a little over crispy but everything else turned out just how I wanted and was very yummy, L then broke out the huge cupcake which was amazing . Due to the snow L's friends couldn't make it in to London which equalled no Whisky Mist for us, this was good though because it meant I could bring out the boardgames! Cluedo has changed so much but is still good fun...

.......we also played Cranium WOW and then moved on to Charades! Quick tip for you; don't let a couple that have been together for seven years be on the same team.....they've developed they're own mental telepathy and will beat you!

Todays dress is this...

Dress: Present from Tatty
Leggings: American Apparel

I shall be wearing this to run a few errands, make more presents and then head off to work for the evening, fingers crossed it's a good night!

Lots of Love
