"after all, tomorrow is another day"

Well I'm so glad that day is over! My Mum has now officially left for Saudi and I have no idea when I'm going to get to see her again. Senhor B. and I decided to call it a day which I'm incredibly upset about, my friend that had come down for the pole dancing event had had the worst day ever herself and ended up getting very upset then to top it all off someone in the club threw up on me!!!!! That was at the end of the evening so wasn't the end of the world really....

I ended up wearing my pirate outfit last night I usually wear it with leggings but decided that fishnets and hot pants were a good idea, V lent me her's, they have this on the back...

Today V and I headed up to Kentish Town to The Pineapple for an amzing Sunday lunch with the B.G's and J and C. Really good food and great company, everyone was being lovely and helped cheer me up which was much appreciated because I was being a little bit of a wet blanket! We then went on to have chocolate and banana crepes at The Torriano which is V's old local and really lovely. Today I wore this little lot....

No make up today and actually don't think it's too bad!

Girl Kebab

So I'm off in a minute to the Pole Divas London heat which is going to be much fun. Always good to see girls girl kebabing (meat spinning on a stick; I do this for a living myself so am allowed to say it!) and see new moves and spins they've come up with. I've decided to wear this little lot today (I like that phrase, don't I?!)....

Cardigan: One of my many of this style in a creamy colour
Dress: Jane Norman
Belt: Jocasi
Tights: Dorothy Perkins
Boots: Faith
Necklace: I can't remember but I love it and that you can see my little green camera in it as I took the photo!

Not sure what the plan is tonight but if we do end up going clubbing I think I'll change into my Pirate outfit as it is Halloween after all!!!!

Land Of Veils and No Booze

So Mum is actually flying off to Saudi at 10.30pm tomorrow evening so Papa, Moi, V and the cousins are taking her out for The Last Supper take 2. Turns out we had a surprise guest join us in the shape of Suzzi......

...V pointed out that I am holding her like a small handbag in the last photo, too which a cousin asked "but were would you keep your purse?"!.

We are taking Mum to Pierre Victoire again as she liked it so much last time and they serve her favourite wine. The food as always is amazing....

Senhor B. made me a lovely dinner last night and we watched Scott Pilgrim vs. the World which was fab, I loved it and will highly recommend it! He took me home on the Suzuki today and I made him take a picture of me in all the gear....

.....it's been a day of dressing up, which I guess is appropriate as it's almost Halloween, Mum made me try on her abaya and head scarf which are very bling with all the gold studds!

I ended up wearing this little lot to the restaurant in the end though...

Dress: Oasis
Belt: Warehouse
Tights: Dorothy Perkins
Boots: Pied A Terre
Necklace: Tatty Devine (yup that's the real name Purdey was my first pet cat and Singleton is my mothers maiden name which is apparently how you work out your porn star name! I always just thought it sounded quite cool because I love Purdey from The Avengers!)

Grey Day

WooHoo Senhor B. has finally finished playing with dolls so I'm off over there for movie night and home cooked dinner! I wonder what yummy treats he has for me this week!

Last night was great Miss Brazil UK was interesting but the judges obviously had bad taste as they didn't put our girl through! Very silly. We then headed to Chinawhites at it's new venue (I'm very behind the times and haven't been there since it''s reopening) I actually really liked it and we all a very good time if a little too much vodka!

I decided my fluffy yeti boots needed another outting and where better to take them than to Stockwell!

Here's Hoping

Very quick post today as I've just been told I have way less time to get ready than I thought EEP!

Off to Miss Brazil bikini contest tonight with L and her friends (her brothers GF is a contestant!) Senhor. B. is still playing with dolls so can't make it (BOO) but he has given me some Portuguese phrases for the evening "Que Bunda" (boon-da) and "Gostosa" (gosh-toh-za) he won't tell me what they mean but they will apparently get a laugh! Here's hoping....

Curve Ball

These last few days have been very strange and I seem to have finally succumbed to the cold that's been going around the flatmates for the last three months. Curled up on the sofa in many layers (Michelin Man again!) and the 99p blankets V and I bought in Ikea yesterday! I have the laptop with me (better than a hot water bottle!) and loads of TV to catch up on as I was out all weekend. I decided that a Fruit Pastille lolly was the way forward for my throat....

....trouble is I now want another three of them!

One of my Facebook friends put this as her status update today "In the end we all only regret the chances we didnt take, the relationships we were scared to have and the descisions we waited too long to make. There comes a time in our lives when you realise who matters, who doesnt, who never did and who always will..." it's very apt for what's going on in my life at the moment! I've been thrown a bit of a curve ball and I'm trying to work out what to do with it!

I've got a very busy week ahead of me; tomorrow is Miss Brazil competition at Guanabara then maybe on to Jalouse for a bit of an impromptu after party, work on Thursday and Friday evening (boo), then the Pole Divas London heat on Saturday and off for another after party at another London club, probably Punk to follow and on Sunday it's late afternoon/early evening drinks with V and the B.G.'s!!! My cold needs to bugger off and I will definitely need a week off to recover afterwards!

Tonight Was Sponsored By....

Whisky Mist's BNTM party was very much fun and I discovered the most amazing drink ever! Tia Maria and OJ.....tastes like Terry's Chocolate Orange. I think I drank an entire bottle of Tia Maria by myself....V and L (our other flatmate) joined me and much fun was had by two thirds of us; V isn't a big club fan.

As punishment for dragging V out on a Sunday night she made me go to Ikea with her today. We bought mirrors, plants, blankets and curtains then lugged them all home on the tube. Ikea was infested with many many small stuffed animals which we managed to not adopt although that was a little difficult...

....especially with this fella. We did however bring home a bag of strawberry candy floss which was so yummy and didn't last long at all!

Today I threw on my jeans and comfy boots again but I tried to make a bit more effort with the top half so put on my stripey jumper instead of just a tee!

Really must try harder but it's hard when it's cold I just wanna snuggle up!

FUBAR & BNTM

Well that was an interesting evening! The Collection was lovely if massivly expensive, very yummy food and they did this for C ....

.....loving the sparkle but the smell was amazing! Like those old indoor fireworks you used to get .

We then decided that it was a good idea to head to Mo*vida (I have no idea why), there were a fair few of us but someone knew someone who had a guest list and table, C and I walked in and promptly headed to the bar only to discover that the lovely door staff had decided the others were "too old looking" to get in! Not one of them were over 30. The next logical step was Maddox as it was round the corner and again someone knew someone blah blah blah.....we got there only to be told by the polo shirt wearing doorman that "none of those girls are stylish enough to come in, I have to think about the aesthetics of the club" OMG I have never been so offended! After this I was a little out of the party mood but it's C's birthday and we haven't been dancing in ages so I text my someone who knows someone and off we headed to Punk. Had a fab night and a good catch up with an old friend, although I'm paying for it today DAMN vodka!

Tonight I have been invited to some random BNTM wrap party at Whisky Mist, for someone who hasn't been clubbing in about two years I seem to be doing rather well this weekend! I won't be wearing the Choo's again tonight though, they need to go back to the shop for repairs again...ooops! I think my new yeti boots might need to make their first appearance this evening mmmmm warm toasty toes and comfort for dancing, perfect.

Nutcracker Nightmare

I'm off out tonight for C's birthday shenanigans at The Collection which will be much fun, although I may have to clip her round the ear if she starts with her "I'm so old" nonsense, she's 27, not old at all! I get to dress up in one of my many party dresses which I love and I think I'm even going to break out the Jimmy Choo's! Fingers crossed for no rain please....

Senhor B. has been working long hours all week painting dolls (ahhhh the fun life of a special effects professional) so I haven't seen him and it's his Mum's birthday today so he's off out to the country to celebrate with the family. Royal Mail finally delivered the card to him this morning (I posted it on Wednesday!) it had the desired effect and made him smile.

Tonight I'm wearing this little lot...

Dress: Gorgeous Couture
Brooch: Butler & Wilson
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Bag: eBay

Ring: Kabiri

I love this Gorgeous Couture dress, so much so that I have it in three colours and I want it in more! The Choo's were a Christmas present from a few years ago that have been worn so many times that they've needed three repairs (all free at the Bond Street store, how fab are they!) they aren't the most comfy things in the world but soooooo beautiful. I always get so many compliments on this magazine bag whenever I use it, I'm a huge Gil Elvgren fan and I bought a few of these bags with different prints, I think they had made ten in total. However I don't think they had sorted out the copyright to use the images as the eBay store closed down after a few weeks, I wish I'd known as I'd have bought all ten stlyes at once! Never mind......

127.4 Yippee!

So after my post  the other day I decided that maybe I should try on my Bodymetrics jeans again and see how I was progressing, now not only can I get them over my thighs I can actually do them up!! They are still a little on the tight side and I probably won't be wearing them out in public just yet but I'm so happy! All thanks to V and Jillian Michaels.

"Swedish Bo" came over this afternoon for a bit of a gossip before she heads off to Paris for the weekend, business not pleasure but still, it's Paris! I haven't been on holiday or abroad for ages and could with really do with some sun, wouldn't mind the tan that comes with it either.

As I haven't left the house today I stayed in my P.J.'s and lit the fire again which always makes me feel rather decadent and long for my sheep skin rug. Tatty now it owns but she has to keep it off the floor as her kittens (Mrs Hippolyta Fox and her son Eblis Wilfred Fitzroy) are fascinated with it and will happily eat it given half a chance. I still want a toasting fork and marshmallows but I have a sneaking suspicion that I would manage to make an awful mess.

No outfit post today, laziness kicking in again. I really need to get some glam P.J.'s as I spend so much time in them! I have my eye on these....

.....which are gorgoeus, I love 1920's style loungewear. I was also thinking of making this dressing gown (the long sleeved version) ....

....in green satin to go with the P.J.'s! I really must get myself a desk so I can get the sewing machine out again, I miss the pleasure and even the back ache you get when making something new and fabulous.

Uber Geek

Today has been a very lazy day of running earrands, sorting out the next stage of my M.C.S.E and deciding on my new hair. It's going to be L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Dark Chocolate (have decided to go blonde in the summer as I think it looks better on me when I have a tan).

Getting quite excited about the next stage of my course as it means I get to start taking P.C.'s and laptops apart and then, hopefully, put them back together in working order! If I stop posting on this blog you'll know something has gone wrong with the "putting them back together" bit....I do have two laptops and a P.C. to play with though so hopefully that won't happen.

Feeling like a blueberry again today with all the purple and I'm wearing my French Connection high waisted shorts for the first time ever. They've been in my wardrobe for over a year with the tags on so they deserve an outing! I liked them so much I also bought the jeans in this colour and a very dark blue denim which still haven't seen the light of day...yet! I'm never sure how to style them, advice in the comments please!
