Shih-Tzu

It's been a very exciting week here; lots of deliveries have arrived, the website is really beginning to take shape and I got a fabulous package from Vistaprint!

You know you've made it when you have a mug with your shiny new company logo on it!

The fabulous Lydia of Knotting Elle fame has created an amazing range of arm candy to go with my first line of dresses and the parcel arrived yesterday with this little surprise made just for me.....

.....a Tiffany's and Knotting Elle arm party....whats not to love?!

As well as all the work stuff thats been going on I had two of the cutest visitors the other night.....

.....Maxie and Millie, the most adorable pair of Shih-Tzu's ever!

To round the weekend off The Fella and I are taking some friends for dinner at The Baglioni Hotel and then on to The Royal Albert Hall to watch Cirque De Soleil tomorrow evening. I'm so excited, I've been to about eight Cirque shows before and I've loved every single one. Kooza is a brand new show to me and the preview clip looks amazing. Eeeeep!

Ch-ch-changes!

There are has been a small makeover here on the blog, I hope you like it? It's all for the build up to the launch of......

......I'm so excited! I received my first wholesale order today and my bespoke jewellery collection will arrive on Friday......eeeeep! It's all becoming very real (which is of course daft, it's been real since I handed my Bunny Ears in and became my own boss it just seems more real now) and just a little bit scary. There is still so much to do but I'm loving every minute of this!

Nostalgia

I've been feeling very nostalgic lately for many reasons, I was rereading a few of my earlier posts and I found this.....

"In the end we all only regret the chances we didnt take, the relationships we were scared to have and the descisions we waited too long to make. There comes a time in our lives when you realise who matters, who doesnt, who never did and who always will..."

....the person who inspired this is back in my life (again) and it's got me thinking. I love my life and I actually don't regret any of my decisions (both the good and the stupid), they've turned me into the person I am today with the people I know and love around me and damn I've had a good time along the way!

These past few weeks I've been working at getting my website up and running, ordering stock (it's so exciting ordering LOTS of beautiful clothes), collaborating with talented friends to get limited edition jewellery designed and setting up my new home. As you can imagine I've been pretty hectic and blogging has kinda taken a bit of a backseat. Saying that I've been a very erratic blogger over the last few years anyway. It's mainly be due to lack of time, broken computers and cameras and then the dreaded "bloggers block"! I haven't made any "official" new years resolutions this year but if I had one of them would be to look after this blog better and write more! Oh and to actually wear the clothes I own.....with this in mind I will be blogging more often.....honest!

Anyways......you may be aware that's it's been snowing here in the UK, when it snows I don't really expect it to actually properly snow.....a light dusting yes but snow that really settles....not so much! Imagine my surprise when I woke up on Friday to a roof garden looking like this.....

......amazing! If all that snow is still there tomorrow I'm going out to make a snowman. Despite the wet slippery stuff being all over the floor a few of the ladies and I decided to brave it and head out in heels for a night on the town this Friday. We ended up in Windows, Whisky Mist and then BLC and much fun was had by all......

......(can you tell I've discovered photo apps on my iPhone?). I have a very hectic week ahead of me including more ordering, meetings with my fabulous pattern cutter, London Edge Fashion trade show, visits from LBB and his Missus and some Cirque De Soleil antics to round the week off! It's going to be fab....

Sneak Peek

You may be aware that last year I hung up my Bunny ears to start an exciting new project. It's been a busy few months of moving house and setting up the studio/office/website. I'm still not 100% finished with all that but the first of my fabric choices arrived yesterday.....

.......here's a quick peek! I'm so excited, I can't wait to start creating with it. Watch this space......!

Furry Purries

I'm a very lucky girl. I had a wonderfully chilled Christmas with Little Bother and Big Bird, we watched tv, ate roastie beast (lamb.....my favourite), rolled a Panda on WOW (geeky online game we all play) and had kitty snuggles from Harry Cat.....

.......I was given the gift of the Amazing Cat Attracting Blanket and it's amazing powers started working immediately! Harry is NOT a lap cat, he is a "next to lap cat" though, as soon as my gift was unwrapped he took one look and hopped up to join me. I really miss having pets (although I do currently live with mice but they don't purr so I don't count them as proper pets.......) so it was lovely to spend time with three furry purries.

When I got home from Nuneaton The Fella showed up with this fabulous bag......

......I've always wanted something from Tiffany's, The Fella outdid himself though I got two boxes.......

.....one contained this amazing bangle.....

.....I've always wanted a tennis bracelet but this bangle is so much better as the diamonds always stay right side up! The second box contained this beautiful necklace....

.....so spoilt!

For New Years Eve The Fella, The Dutchie and I decided to head out for dinner before joining The Dutchies fiancé at Movida (he's the bar manager so was working last night). We went to the Winter Garden restaurant at the Landmark Hotel which was gorgeous. They had a five course set menu for the evening which looked great, we arrived at 9.30 (isn) and settled in for a yummy but quick dinner.....by 11.15 we'd only had three of the five courses and all of them were tiny "blink and you miss it" food.....

......incredibly tasty but no way near enough! We ended up having to leave before our main (sea bass *le sigh*) arrived, the staff were great though and didn't even charge us for the bits we did get to eat. After legging it from the hotel we jumped in a black cab and managed to get three quarters of the way to the club before we hit traffic, we decided to get out and run wobble on heels to the club. We made it with twenty minutes to spare which was just enough time to get a bottle of champers open so we could properly toast the shiny New Year!

I really am such a lucky girl, I have an amazing Fella who is kind, supportive and incredibly generous (more about that later), wonderful family who look after me and encourage me in all of my mad cap schemes and fabulous friends who I can count on to be there for the highs and the lows. 2012 was an interesting year and I wouldn't change anything about it, 2013 is shaping up to be even more challenging and exciting and I can't wait!

Happy New Year you lovely peeps
